本稿は，精神障害者と支援者，家族，ピア，地域住民など多様な周囲の人々との関係に関する先行研究を検討したものである．その結果，精神障害者と周囲の人々に関する研究の傾向は，支援者と精 神障害者との関係を明らかにするものが圧倒的に多く，その中でも，支援者の視点から考察するもの が多く見られた．従来は役割関係や関係の性質に関する量的な研究が多く行われていたが，近年では， 関係の質を問う研究や当事者を主体とした関係，地域住民との関係など多様な関係のあり方に関する 研究が行われていた．精神障害者と周囲の人々との関係に関する各研究は，精神障害者支援の変遷と も大きく関わっていると考える．治安対策や医療的な精神障害者の処遇が中心の時代は，専門家主導 で精神障害者支援が行われることが当然であった．しかし，現在の精神障害者支援では当事者が主体 的に支援を決定し，支援者とともに課題を解決する協働者として捉えられている．それに伴い，支援 者主体から当事者を主体とした関係や家族，ピア，地域住民との関係に焦点が移ってきたと考える． しかし，未だ地域住民との関係に関する研究は限りなく少ない．そのため，支援関係以外の関係を含 めた周囲の人々との関係が実際にどのようなものであるか，精神障害者本人の視点に立って具体的に 示していくような研究も，今後，蓄積される必要があると考える． |

This paper examines the studies on the relationships between the mentally handicapped and those surrounding them, such as health professionals, family, peers and others living in their vicinity. It was found that the majority of research focused on the relationships between the mentally handicapped and the health professionals who support them, including a large amount of research from the viewpoint of the health professionals. Until recent years, most research was quantitative in nature, and focused on the specific roles of each party involved. However, current research tends to focus more on the quality of relationships, positioning mentally handicapped persons at the center of inquiry. More emphasis is also being placed on interactions with the wider community. It is worth noting that studies on the relationship between the mentally handicapped and their community is still severely lacking. Research is greatly necessary into how the mentally handicapped view their relationships not only with health professionals but also with members of the community. |
