| 普通校及び養護学校の教師のてんかんについての対処の実情を知るために, 岡山市内の普通校教師49名, 養i護学校教師55名, 計104名の教師に質問紙法による調査を行った.普通校及び養護学校では, 教師のてんかんに対する知識が必ずしも充分ではなく, 全ての調査項目に対して「わからない」と回答する教師が多かった.てんかんについての知識を習得する機会が少ないことがうかがわれ, 普通校教師, 養護学校教師ともに, てんかん及びてんかん児への対応のための正しい保健医学的な知識が必要とされていた.てんかん児への対応については, 養護学校教師の方が普通校教師よりも適切な指導を行っていた.以上のことから, 教職, 介護者などの将来てんかん児に関わりを持つと予想される学生のために, 大学でのてんかんに関する知識を習得する機会を充実させるとともに, 卒業後も実状にあった卒後教育の機会をつくることが望まれる.また, 教師には, 教育現場のみならず, 医療, 家庭との連携を保ちながら総合的にてんかん児に対応していく姿勢が必要である. | ||||||||||

| The purpose of this research was to find out how teachers of ordinary school and school for the handicapped treat epileptic children in Okayama City. The questionaire was sent to 49 teachers of two ordinary schools and 55 teachers of one school for the handicapped. The results tell that teachers of both kinds of schools do not have enough knowledge for epilepsy, and many answered that they "do not understand what it is". It is clear that they have few opportunities to learn about epilepsy. They need to get the medical and health care knowledge about epilepsy and epileptic children. The teachers of the school for handicapped gave better insturuction than those of the ordinary schools. It is necessary, therefore, that for students who will be involved with epileptic children in future as teachers or care-givers should be provided with opportunities to get enough knowledge about epilepsy. It is desired that they receive practical guidance in this field after graduate from universities. Mutual cooperation between school, medical and family is important to acquire accurate knowledge of this disease and thus treat the epileptic children properly. | ||||||||||
