| 大学生を対象としてパーソナリティとしての他者依存性とソーシャル・サポートに関する認知との関連性を調べた先行研究によれば,他者依存性の強い人は,そうでない人とサポートの入手可能性では差がないにもかかわらず,多くのサポートを求める一方で現在のサポートに対する満足度は低く,さらに実際にサポートを受けることに対しては心理的な抵抗感が強い.本研究では,他者依存性の強さによるこのような特徴が,家族関係におけるソーシャル・サポートと友人関係におけるソーシャル・サポートで同様にみられるのかどうかを検討した.回答者は男子大学生103名と女子大学生84名であった.他者依存性の高低と性別による2要因分散分析の結果,家族関係については,他者依存性による違いは満足度以外にはみられなかったが,友人関係では先行研究とほぼ同様の他者依存性の高低による差異が認められた.この結果は,サポートの提供が義務的になされるか親密さにもとづいてなされるかという家族関係と友人関係の違いからくるものと解釈された. | ||||||||

| Previous research into the relationship between interpersonal dependency and cognition of social support revealed that students with high levels of interpersonal dependency required more support than students who did not have high levels of interpersonal dependency. Although the high level group had equal access to support, results showed they had low levels of satisfaction with the support given and had a strong resistance to getting support. The present study investigated whether these characteristics were also observed in cases when support was given by family and friends. University students (n=187 : 103 men and 84 women) participated in the study. A two-way analysis of variance was conducted on the degree of interpersonal dependency and gender. The result indicated that, with the exception of satisfaction levels, there were no significant differences caused by the degree of interpersonal dependency when support was given by the family. These results contrast with the previous study in which a student's level of interpersonal dependency resulted in significant differences in these variables. It is suggested that this discrepancy is due to the difference between family and friends: whether the support was given from a sense of duty or friendship. | ||||||||
