急増する高齢者, 慢性疾患者, 障害者のニーズに対応するため, 健康ケアシステムを発展させることは, 我が国が当面する緊急の課題である.健康ケアは, 疾病の治療や治癒のみでなく, 健康の保持・増進, さらに全ての人の生活の質を重視したものでなければならない.多様化, 複雑化する問題に対処するには, 看護職が, その社会的役割, ケア技術また経済効果の面からも最も適しているという社会のコンセンサスができてきている.そのためには, 拡大する健康ケアシステムのなかで十分その専門性と主体性を発展させることのできる看護職の育成が必要である.つまり, 看護教育の改革が求められている.本稿では, そのような目的で!995年に新設された川崎医療福祉大学の看護教育課程について報告する.看護ケア論, 保健活動論, 保健看護論の3領域で構成されているこの教育課程の構成枠組みとその概念について紹介する. |

Japan urgently needs to modernize its health care delivery to respond to the demands of a rapidly increasing population of elderly, chronically-ill and disabled persons. Also, demands on health care have expanded to include not only treating and curing illnesses but also promoting and maintaining health, that is, to improve the quality of life for everybody. Society's consensus is that nursing, by virtue of its role, training and costeffectiveness, is an obvious profession to meet the multiple challenges. However, nursing, too, needs professionals prepared with more expertise and autonrny in the expanding health care system. It requires revision of nursing education. This article reports on one such new undergraduate nursing program begun in 1995 at Kawasaki University of Medical Welfare. The program is comprised of three dimensions nursing care methodology, health care delivery practicum, and nursing theory. The curriculum and its conceptional framework are described. |
