| 旭川荘バンビの家では幼児期の自閉症児に対して12年間継続した水泳指導を行なっている。今回はその指導プログラムに対して, 評価と考察を行なった。自閉症児に対する指導の目的は, 運動や感覚面の発達と行動や対人関係面での障害の改善にある。指導方法は親を指導者として参加させる個別指導とグループでの集団指導を併用している。活動内容は水慣れ遊び, 集団活動, 泳方練習, 自由遊びである。プログラムに対しての評価として(1)多動や衝動行動, 固執の改善が約9割の児童に見られている。(2)バランス感覚や持久力, などの運動機能の発達が見られる。(3)母親を意識したり, 集団活動に参加できたりと対人関係の改善や社会性の向上が見られる。(4)段階的な水泳技能の修得が見られる。(5)親自身が水泳に楽しんで参加できるようになった。などの効果が見られている。もちろん個々の児童の障害の軽減や発達促進といった変化は, 家庭や地域での療育の総合的効果であり, また子ども自身の自然発達によるものである。水泳指導はその中にあって, 総合的アプローチが可能な自閉症児への療育方法として, 有効な手段であると考える。 | ||||||||||

| At Bambi's House, which belongs to Asahigawa-so, we have offered swimming lessons for autistic preschool children for fifteen years. Here we have evaluated and examined this, program. The goal of training an autistic child is to promote his sensory and physical development and to improve his behavior and personal relations. We adopt both group and individual training in which parents can attend as instructors. Swimming training consists of (1) warm up, (2) group activity, (3) learning swimming skills, and (4) free play. As a result of this training program, we observed the following ; (1) 90 percent of the patients have corrected their excessive action pattern, impetuous behavior and tenaciousness. (2) Most of the patients have improved their physical ability, balance and endurance. (3) Personal relations and sociability have been improved ; better recognition to his mother and willingness to participate in group activities. (4)Mastery of swimming skills has been achieved at respective levels. (5)Parents are also enriched through this program.The patients' improvement and development have also been promoted by general training activities both at home and in the community. The child's natural development is also a factor in the success of this program. Overall; swimming training is considered to be an effective treatment for autistic children. | ||||||||||
