本研究は,体型認識およびその歪みが身体的自己概念に及ぼす影響について明らかにすることを目的とした.大学生693名に,体型と体型認識に関するアンケートと日本語版身体的自己知覚プロフィールを回答させた.体型に関しては,実際の身長・体重とその希望値を自己申告させ,身長と体重の値からBMIを算出した.自己の体型を太っていると認識している群は,自己の体型を標準ややせていると認識している群より身体的自己概念が低かった.この群のうち,実際のBMIが普通以下の人を「歪みあり群」,実際のBMIが肥満以上の人を「歪みなし群」とし,実際のBMIが普通であり体型認識も歪んでいない群を「普通-歪みなし群」とし比較した.その結果,歪みあり群が普通-歪みなし群より身体的自己概念が低かった.特に,女性は歪みなし群も,普通-歪みなし群より身体的自己概念が低かった.このことから,体型認識とその歪みが身体的自己概念と関係していることが示され,さらに女性は実際の体型も身体的自己概念と関係していることが示された. |

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of body perception and distortion on physical self-perception. 693 participants were answered a questionnaire that consisted of items concerning the body and body perception, and the Physical Self-Perception Profile-Japanese Version (PSPP-J). Participants were divided groups according to their responses to the questionnaire. The Obese-estimated group which participants estimated their body physique to be obese had lower scores in the PSPP-J than the group which participants estimated their body physique to be normal or lean. The Obese-estimated group classified into the Distortion group which 268 participants had normal or low BMI and the Non-distortion group which 24 participants had high BMI. These groups were compared with the Normal-non-distortion group which 229 participants had normal BMI and no distortion of body perception. The Distortion group had lower scores in the PSPP-J than the Normal-non-distortion group. And the Non-distortion group of 10 females had lower scores in the PSPP-J than the Normal-non-distortion group. It was shown that the body perception and the distortion related to the physical self-perception, and in female, the body physique related to the physical self-perception. |
