| 日本で,作業療法が法制化されて50年が来る.その間,日本や世界において,文化は変わった.筆者は,今一度,作業療法の本質と法定義について考えてみたいと思った.その材料の一つとして,学生の意識調査を行っている.今回は,同一対象に対し,新2年次と4年次終了時に,学生の考える作業療法における作業の位置づけと法定義が与えるイメージ,及び学生が思う法定義の妥当性と嗜好性について調査し,変化について分析した.新2年次の対象は,2009年度の本学作業療法専攻に在籍する新2年次生40名であった.4年次終了時の対象は,休学した1名を除く39名であった.調査は,新2年次の授業開始時と4年次のすべての科目が終了した冬季休業中に,無記名で行った.調査では,(1)あなたは作業療法における作業は対象と目的と手段のどの観点に位置づけられると思うか,(2)法定義はどの観点に位置づけられるとイメージさせると思うか,(3)法定義は作業療法の本質を表していると思うか,(4)法定義が好きか嫌いか,を問うた.(1)は,新2年次と4年次終了時では回答の傾向が大きく変わった.(2)は,新2年次と4年次終了時では回答の傾向が大きく変わった.新2年次の(1)と(2)の回答は傾向が似ていた.(3)は,新2年次と4年次終了時では回答の傾向が変わり,4年次終了時では思わないが増えた.(4)は,4年次終了時は好きがいなくなり,回答の理由が具体的となった.今回の調査で,学生が考える作業療法の本質も,法定義に対する意識についても,新2年次と4年次終了時とでは変化することが分かった.以上より,作業療法の本質と法定義について,再考する必要性があることが示唆された. | ||||||||

| The purpose of this study was to assess the necessity of discussions about the essence and legal definitions of occupational therapy. The author investigated the perceptions and awareness of occupational therapy students. 40 students participated in a questionnaire survey at the beginning of the second year and once again before graduation. The questionnaire focused on personal perceptions of the essence of occupational therapy and of legal definitions of occupational therapy. Furthermore, survey items also included students' preferences concerning legal definitions and their views on its appropriateness. Answers from the two surveys were compared. Analysis of the survey revealed that over the 2 year period, perceptions of the essence of occupational therapy and the essence of occupational therapy in legal definitions, as well as attitudes towards the appropriateness of the legal definitions and preferences concerning legal definitions changed considerably. These results suggested the need for further discussion and research. | ||||||||
