| この研究は,1909(明治42)年,岐阜市高等小学校(現在では岐阜小学校)に市費による専任学校看護婦として(岐阜県立病院からの派遣看護婦という身分から岐阜市の嘱託で学校看護婦となった)採用された<廣瀬ます>に関する文献史料の検証を目的とするものである.文献は<廣瀬ます>に繋がる方々への直接面接で入手できたものと,史実及び史料からの文献8項目を対象とした.以下検証史料・〜・について述べていく.検証史料・杉浦守邦は廣瀬ますを日本最初の学校看護婦と述べている.検証史料・今までの文献すべてに記載されている<廣瀬ます>は1883(明治16)年1月1日に廣瀬徳蔵の三女として誕生したが名前は<ますの>であった.検証史料・10歳の頃天然痘に罹患した.検証史料・廣瀬ますは明治33年から岐阜県立病院内で始まった看護婦養成に明治38年4月に入学した. 検証史料・廣瀬ますは岐阜市立京町小学校に28年間勤務した.検証史料・廣瀬ますは52歳の現役で死去したがその死因はボランティア先での腸チフス感染によるものである. 検証史料・廣瀬ますの追悼の碑は,果たして墓石の傍に建てられているのか検証史料・廣瀬ますは,「まず健康」の概念を自らの養護活動を通して京町小学校に残した.その概念は長きに渡って受け継がれ今も生きている.廣瀬ますの没後すでに77年が経過しており,廣瀬自身の書簡は皆無に等しく資料は少ないが,廣瀬が足跡として残してくれたケアマインドは岐阜小学校の中でSpiritual的に受け継がれており,養護教諭の源流として今後にも繋いでいきたいと考えている. | ||||||||

| This study seeks to examine documents concerning Masu Hirose, who was hired as a full-time school nurse at Gifu Higher Elementary School (currently Gifu Elementary School) in 1909 (Meiji 42). A budget was allocated by the city for the purpose of hiring her. The documents encompass interview data with people related to Masu Hirose and eight documents from historical archives. The eight documents are as follows: 1) a document composed by Morikuni Sugiura, who mentions Masu Hirose as the first school nurse in Japan; 2) a document recording Masu Hirose's birth on January 1 in Meiji 16 as the third daughter of Tokuzoh Hirose; 3) a document recording her contracting smallpox at the age of 10; 4) a document recording her enrollment in a nursing program in April, Meiji 38. This nursing program had been established on the premises of Gifu Prefectural Hospital in Meiji 33; 5) a document confirming that Masu Hirose worked atGifu Municipal Kyohmachi Elementary School; s death at the age of 52. That 6) a document confirming Masu Hirose'she was still working full-time at the time of her death has led to speculation that she may have died as a result of contracting typhoid while doing volunteer work elsewhere; 7) a document on the question as to whether a monument should be erected on the site of Masu Hirose's grave; and 8) a document posing the question as to whether Masu Hirose's philosophy of school nursing is still relevant 77 years after her death.It has been 77 years since her death, and no letters written by Hirose are still in existence. Furthermore, documents concerning her life and work are scarce. Nonetheless, a philosophy of care based on her spirit and pioneering work still exists at Gifu Elementary School, and it is the contention of this paper that Masu Hirose should be regarded as the originator of school nursing in Japan. | ||||||||
