本研究では，親のソーシャルスキルと子どものソーシャルスキルの関係を検討した．子どもによっ て知覚された親の養育態度と子ども自身の内的作業モデルが媒介変数として測定された．参加者は 地方の一大学において授業時に募集された．調査は無記名でおこなわれ，大学生とその母親69組の データが記入不備なく収集された．大学生は知覚された養育態度，内的作業モデル，ソーシャルスキ ルの質問に回答し，授業時に調査票を提出した．母親は自身のソーシャルスキルについて回答し， 郵送で調査票を提出した．母親と子どものソーシャルスキルの尺度は，それぞれコミュニケーション スキルと対人スキルの内容からなっていた．知覚された養育態度は，養護と過保護の2尺度からなるParental Bonding Instrument により測定された．内的作業モデルの尺度はアタッチメント不安とアタッチメント回避の2側面を含むものであった．相関分析の結果，コミュニケーションスキルと対人スキルの相関は非常に高かった．構造方程式モデリングの結果，母親のソーシャルスキルから子どものソーシャルスキルへの影響は，知覚された養育態度と内的作業モデルを介した間接的なものと，これらを介さない直接的なものの両方が認められた．これらの結果は，母親のソーシャルスキルが子どものソーシャルスキルの基礎にあること，その影響は養育態度と内的作業モデルを介したものと直接のものの両方があることを示唆している． |

The relationship between parental social skills and their college-age children’s social skills was investigated by focusing on perceived child-rearing attitudes and children’s Internal Working Model as potential mediating variables. Participants with no missing values were 69 pairs of college students and their mothers. The students were recruited voluntarily at the end of classes in a Japanese university and anonymously provided information. The students responded about parents’perceived child-rearing attitudes, internal working models, and social skills and returned the questionnaires in the class. The students’mothers responded about their social skills and returned the questionnaires by mail. Mothers and children responded to the Social Skills Scales assessing communication and interpersonal skills. The Parental Bonding Instrument assessed the perceived child-rearing attitudes to evaluate care and overprotection. Children’s Internal Working Model was assessed by the Experiences in Close Relationships- Relationship Structures Questionnaire comprised of two subscales, attachment anxiety, and attachment avoidance. A correlational analysis indicated strong relationships between communication skills and interpersonal skills. Structural equation modeling indicated significant direct and indirect effects of maternal social skills on children’s social skills through the mediation of perceived child-rearing attitudes and children’s Internal Working Model. These results suggest that maternal social skills form the direct and indirect bases of children’s social skills, mediated by perceived maternal child-rearing attitudes and the children’s Internal Working Model. |
