| 本研究は重症児者施設に勤務する福祉専門職が入所児者の反応やサインをどのように捉えているのか，その実践過程を明らかにすることを目的とする．研究方法は11名の福祉専門職に対して，半構造化面接を実施し，質的記述的研究を行った．分析の結果，入所児者から表出される反応やサインを捉える福祉専門職の実践過程として【専門職としての基本的な姿勢をもつ】，【入所児者への働きかけを行う】，【入所児者の反応やサインを捉えるためのアセスメントの準備をする】，【入所児者から表出された反応やサインを捉えることができる】，【入所児者の表出する反応やサインを捉えることの難しさと向き合う】，【入所児者一人ひとりの特性を理解する】，【入所児者にかかわる専門職全員で考える】 という7つのカテゴリー，15のサブカテゴリー，38のコードが抽出された．入所児者から表出される反応やサインを捉えるためには，福祉専門職が入所児者一人ひとりの多様性を認め，かけがえのない存在として，入所児者の尊厳を大切にしたかかわりを基盤として実践していることが明らかとなった． このような基盤をもとに実践しているからこそ，入所児者一人ひとりの特性を理解すること，様々な困難と向き合うことができること，専門職全員で考えることにつながることが示された． | ||||||||

| The purpose of this study is to clarify the practical process of how welfare professionals working in facilities for patients with severe motor and intellectual disabilities (SMID: severe motor and intellectual disabilities) perceive the reactions and signs of patients with SMID. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 11 welfare professionals and qualitative descriptive studies were conducted. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the practical processes of the welfare professionals who grasp the reactions and signs expressed by the patients with SMID are follows:“having a basic professional attitude”,“work with patients with SMID”,“preparing for the assessment to grasp the reactions and signs of the patients with SMID”,“being able to grasp the reactions and signs expressed by the patients with SMID”,“Confront the difficulty of grasping the reactions and signs expressed by the patients with SMID”,“Understand the individual characteristics of each patient with SMID”,“Consider with all professionals involved with patients with SMID”. From the aforementioned analysis, 7 categories, 15 subcategories, and 38 codes were extracted. It became clear that in order to grasp the reactions and signs expressed by the patients with SMID, welfare professionals must recognize the diversity of each the patients with SMID, regard them as irreplaceable, and implement practices based on a relationship that values the dignity of patients with SMID. | ||||||||
