| 本研究の目的は，これまでの筆者の研究である社会構築主義的思考に基づくソーシャルワークの理論・方法の枠組み構築を目指した「生きていることの有意味感を見据えたソーシャルワーク援助枠組みについての研究」を踏まえ，さらに当事者のライフ・ストーリー分析を多文化視点も加え，すでに筆者が提示している「生きていることの有意味感を見据えたソーシャルワーク援助枠組み」の妥当性を検証することである．そのための研究方法として，マレーシアのハンセン病当事者（中華系マレー人）への聞き取り調査を行った．分析の結果，スティグマをきせられた当事者が，自身のさまざまな対処を通して，人生においてポジティブな見解を築き上げる過程が明らかとなった．そして，エピファニー（語源はキリスト教における「顕現」を示すが，ここでは当事者が人生の見方を変えるような宗教的な体験も含む日常的な生活や出来事の体験とする）の体験を経て，当事者自身が人生の見方を変え，スティグマを乗り超えていく過程が明らかとなった．さらにライフ・ストーリーのダイナミクス，すなわち「マスター・ナラティブ」「モデル・ストーリー」「ニュー・ストーリー」の展開過程が認められ，その要因として「ストレングス」「利用者文化」「公からの他者承認」「実体ある復権」が明らかとなった．従って，研究の目的とした前段研究の妥当性は検証された．しかしながら，今回の事例的検証から本「援助枠組み」援用について，当事者との安定した信頼関係形成などに関しての限界性が認められた． | ||||||||||

| This research aims to map the social and psychological factors that aid individuals living with stigmatized conditions such as Hansen’s disease, HIV and alcoholism. The researcher posits the notion of ‘Transcendental Narrative’in which individuals discover a deeper meaning in life through their experiences that enables them to transcend their suffering. Whether individuals reach this form of narrative and, if so the factors that enable this process of self-redefinition are the focus of this research. Hansen’s disease, HIV and alcoholism have been chosen for this research as they are conditions that have been stigmatized. This research focuses on the role of self-narrative in the acceptance of adversity and the development of a positive self-image that reaffirms meaning in life. The research hopes to review the experiences of individuals with these conditions across cultures and assess what kind of narrative commonalities and difference participants describe. Based on the findings and a social constructivist perspective, the researchers hope to develop an approach to social work practice that uses life history analysis to map cultural, social and individual aspects of the individual. The researcher hopes to use this mapping to help service users create a strengths model of self based on their cultural and personal resources. In doing so, it is hoped the social worker and service user can find a pathway towards self-acceptance and redefinition. | ||||||||||
