| 超高齢期における幸福な老いに関して Tornstam による老年的超越理論が提唱されているが，日本での研究からは Tornstam の主張と異なる部分が指摘されている．本研究でその中から特に「つながりの実感」の重要性に着目し，身体機能が衰えつつある施設利用高齢者におけるつながりの実感，老年的超越と主観的幸福感との関連を検討した．高齢者7名を対象とする半構造化面接によってつながりの実感に関する語りがみられることを確認した上で，超高齢者53名・後期高齢者58名を分析対象とする質問紙調査を実施した．ADL を統制した偏相関分析の結果，後期高齢者ではつながりの実感のみが，超高齢者ではつながりの実感と老年的超越の両方が，主観的幸福感と有意な正の関連性を示した．なお，つながりの実感と老年的超越の間には有意な正の相関があり，その値は後期高齢者以上に超高齢者で大きい傾向にあった．幸福な老いを支える要素としての「つながりの実感」の重要性と， 超高齢期以降における老年的超越の重要性が示唆された． | ||||||||||

| Tornstam suggested the theory of gerotranscendence concerning successful aging in the very old age. However, in Japan, certain differences with his theory have been suggested. Among such issues, this paper focused on the importance of“feelings of connectedness”, and examined correlations among feelings of connectedness, gerotranscendence, and subjective well-being of elderly people using aged care facilities, with deteriorating physical functions. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the elderly (N=7), which confirmed that they narrated feelings of connectedness. Subsequently, a questionnaire was administered to oldest-old (N=53) and old-old people (N=58). Partial correlation analysis was conducted after controlling ADL. The results indicated that in old-old people, only the feeling of connectedness was significantly and positively correlated with subjective well-being, whereas in oldest-old people, both the feeling of connectedness and gerotranscendence had significant positive correlations with subjective well-being. Moreover, there was a significant positive correlation between the feeling of connectedness and gerotranscendence, and the correlation coefficient was larger in the oldest-old compared to the old-old. These results suggest that the feeling of connectedness is an important factor in successful aging and that gerotranscendence is also important in very old aged people. | ||||||||||
