| 国民生活の変化に伴い，人々が直面する生活課題は多様化・複雑化している．こうした課題に対応し人々を援助できる質の高い医療福祉専門職が求められている．また医療現場では，患者を主体とした医療が重視され，チーム医療の重要性が指摘されている．高い専門性をもったスタッフが連携して医療を提供することが求められている．本稿の目的はセラピスト養成課程（以下，医療系学生）およびソーシャルワーカー養成課程（以下，福祉系学生）で医療福祉を学ぶ学生が，進路を選択する動機を比較検討し，専門職養成についての示唆を得ることである．調査の結果，医療系学生は学びたいという目的意識を持ち，自分自身の判断で大学を選択・決定していた．セラピストについて，社会に貢献できる，満足感を得られる仕事である，一生の仕事として誇りを持てる仕事であると認識していた．福祉系学生は，医療系学生と比較するとソーシャルワークを学ぶことに積極的意義を感じていなかったものの，ソーシャルワーカーは社会に貢献できる仕事であり，誇りを持てる仕事であると感じていた．医療系学生も福祉系学生も，セラピストやソーシャルワーカーという仕事が他者を支援する仕事であることを認識し，他者への貢献や支援を通じて，自分自身が満足や誇りを感じることにやりがいを感じていた．福祉系学生（新入生）の74％はソーシャルワーカーに出会ったことがなく，入学時には「ソーシャルワーク」は介護とは異なること，相談や援助を意味することは漠然と理解していた．そして「福祉を学びたい」「福祉に興味がある」という意識があった．養成課程の中でゴールとしてのソーシャルワーカー像を明確に示す必要性が示唆された． | ||||||||||||

| Along with changes in people's lives, the life challenges people will face are becoming diverse and complex, so high-quality human resources who can support people are required. Further, in the medical field, the significance of patient-centered medicine is recognized, and a medical staff with high expertise and proper cooperation is required. The purpose of this article is to compare and review the motivation of the course selection of therapist students to social work students, and to suggest a new perspective in professional education. Therapist students have a clear purpose to learn, compared to social work students. Social work students did not feel any positive significance in learning social work, but they recognized that the social workers contribute to society. Therapist students recognize the therapist as a helping profession and social work students also recognize the social worker as the same. 74% of social work students (as freshman) had not met social workers, and they understood that social work is different from care work and that it is a means of assistance and consultation. Since they are interested in social welfare and want to learn social welfare, the need to show the social worker image as a goal of training in the education has been suggested. |
