近年,我々の日常生活において,コンピュータや携帯電話の普及によってVDT作業が長時間におよぶ場合がある.このVDT作業は眼鏡やコンタクトレンズで矯正できない不正乱視成分を含めた高次収差が影響して,視覚の質の低下を起こすといわれている.本研究では,健常成人若年者のVDT作業により引き起こされる不定愁訴を波面収差解析装置(wave front analyzer)を用いて,眼球光学系の波面収差を客観的数値として測定し,VDT作業による球面収差,コマ収差などの高次収差を定量解析した.その結果,健常成人若年者はVDT作業前に比べて作業後に角膜全高次収差および眼球全高次収差の有意な増加が認められた(p<0.01).また,涙液量の有意な減少が認められた(p<0.01).また,自覚症状アンケートの結果,眼科的項目に関する不定愁訴が多かった.VDT作業による角膜全高次収差の増加は,涙液量が減少し,涙液層の不整化が生じたためであり,眼球全高次収差の増加は,水晶体の形状の変化が影響をおよぼしたためと考えられる.したがって,携帯電話を用いたVDT作業後では,涙液量の減少や残余調節による高次収差の増加が,不定愁訴の一因になったことが考えられる. |

Recently, because computer and cell-phone use has become widespread in our daily lives, using VDT's for extended periods of time has become more common. During extended VDT use, higher-order aberrations are involved in an improper astigmatic component that cannot be corrected by eyeglasses or contact lenses. Such a condition is said to reduce the quality of vision. In this study, into indefinite complaints induced by VDT use in healthy young adults, a wave front analyzer was used to measure the wave aberration of the ocular optical system as an objective numerical value in order to quantitatively analyze the higher-order aberrations such as spherical and coma aberrations induced by VDT use. The results showed significant increases in the total corneal higher-order aberrations and the total ocular higher-order aberrations after VDT use (p<0.01). The tear volume decreased significantly (p<0.01). The results of questionnaires about subjective symptoms showed many indefinite complaints related to ophthalmologic items. The increase in the total corneal higher-order aberrations induced by VDT use may result from the decrease in the tear volume and irregularity of the tear layers, and the increase in the total ocular higher-order aberrations may result from the effect of change in the form of the lens. Thus, it is assumed that after using VDT cell-phones, the reduction in tear volume and the increase in the higher-order aberrations due to residual control may be one of the indefinite complaints. |
