本研究では,健常成人若年者に対してVDT作業によって引き起こされる眼精疲労感の主観的訴えを赤外線オプトメーターによって,調節機能を客観的数値として捉えた.また,VDT作業によって低下した調節機能の回復に対して,アイリッドマスク装着による眼周囲の温熱療法の有効性を検討した.その結果,VDT作業後に88.2%の被検者に調節機能の低下がみられた.また,58.8%の被検者に調節近点の延長が認められた(p<0.01).VDT作業による調節近点の延長は,自然視による休息では経時的に緩徐に回復し,80分後には全被検者が回復する.しかし,温めたアイリッドマスク装着による休息では,10分後に被検者の54.2%に,30分後には全被検者に回復が認められた.水晶体の屈折調節機能は副交感神経系によって制御され,近方視点の調節に関与していることが知られている.本研究ではVDT作業によって示された調節力の低下は,明らかに副交感神経系の働きが抑制されたと考えられる.また,温めたアイリッドマスクの適用は眼周囲の皮膚に温熱刺激が与えられ,副交感神経の働きが優位になり,調節機能の回復に効果がみられたと考えられる. |

In this study, a subjective complaint of eye fatigue caused by VDT work in healthy young adults was understood with objective numeric values of the ocular refraction control function which were measured by infrared optometer. As for recovery of the reduced function due to VDT work, the effectiveness of circumocular thermotherapy with an eyelid mask was investigated. As a result, the refraction control function decreased after VDT work in 88.2% of the subjects. The near point of the control prolonged in 58.8% (p<0.01). The prolongation induced by VDT work recovered slowly over time at rest with natural sight and 80 minutes later completely in all the subjects. However, at rest with a warmed eyelid mask, the recovery was found 10 minutes later in 54.2% of the subjects and 30 minutes later in all of them. It is known that the refraction control of the lens is controlled by the parasympathetic nerve, involved in the control of the near view. The reduction of the refraction control ability caused by VDT work in this study is considered to be associated apparently with the inhibition of the parasympathetic action. It is speculated that the application of the warmed eyelid mask gave a thermal stimulation to the circumocular skin, resulting in the predominated parasympathetic action to appear as a recovery effect on the ocular refraction control. |
