本研究では,中学生を対象に,心の健康に対する運動実践の影響ついて明らかにし,心の健康に対する効果的な運動や対象校における実態と取り組みについて検討することを目的とした. 協力の得られた中学校1校の1・2・3年生480名を対象に,2005年5月と11月に質問紙調査を集合調査法により実施した.有効回答は5月:348名,11月:459名であった.運動群は,高運動群:1週間のうち確実に最低3日以上運動を実践している者,中運動群:1週間のうち不定期に1から4日運動を実践している者,非運動群:全く運動をしていない者,と区分した. 結果は次の通りである. (1) 心の健康総合得点・自己効力感・不安傾向・心身に関する訴えにおいて高運動群に良い効果が認められた.また,自覚症状しらべの結果についても,運動実践の効果が認められた. (2) 5月と11月を比較した結果,心の健康総合得点・自己効力感・不安傾向・感覚的疲労で,5月よりも11月の方が良い状態であった. (3) 学年間においては,2年生が全体的に良い状態であった.(4) 性差については,男子の方が女子より良い状態を示した. (5) 対象校では,全国平均に比べ非運動実践者の割合が少ない結果となった. これらから運動実践によって心身の調子を整えていると考えられ,中学校期での運動実践の必要性が確認された.運動頻度の少ない子どもは,学校行事等による運動量の増加に伴う心の健康への悪影響がみられた.日頃運動を実践していない子どもに対して適度な運動実践を奨励していくとともに,競争等による「自己効力感」や「不安傾向」,「感覚的疲労」の悪化に対する指導も必要であると考えられた.また,対象校は運動参加の工夫をしており,その効果が認められたが,生徒の運動実践を増すためには生徒への教育および学校全体での取り組みが必要であると考える. |

The purpose of this study clarifies the influence of exercise on the mental health of junior high school students. And it examines actions to increase exercise participation and their effects. A questionnaire survey was carried out related to the "presence of exercise practice, mental health and subjective symptoms" in May and November 2005 on 480 students : 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students at one junior high school. The students were divided into three groups by exercise ability : high, middle and low. (1) A good effect was recognized in the high level group in the general scores of mental health, feelings of self-effectiveness and suit ability toward mind and body. As for the subjective symptoms, the effect of exercise practice on them was accepted. (2) As for any difference between the May and November surveys, the low level group in November showed a better state in the general scores of mental health, feelings of self-effectiveness, a tendency of uneasiness and fatigue of the senses than that in the May survey. (3) When the survey was conducted between school years, the 2nd year was in a good state generally. (4) As for difference by sex, boys showed a better state than girls. (5) It followed that a ratio of a non-exercise practitioner at the surveyed school was low when compared with the national average. It was thought that mental health, by stress relaxation through exercise practice, fixed a good condition in the mind and body, and that the necessity of exercise practice in junior high schools was confirmed. |
