| Successful Agingに関する先行研究のうち海外文献に焦点を絞って,15文献の検討を行った.文献には大きく3つの捉えがあり,1)Successful Agingに関する概念提唱や要件や条件の設定を主張したもの,2)人口動態や静態を検討した上で,現状の調査を行い,対象者の思いや認知機能等いくつかの尺度を投入し,量的に分析し,その差異を検討したもの,3)Successfulな老いへの過程や老い自体を,その渦中にある対象者に面接を実施し,見えてくる老いの意味を因子探索的に分析し,そのカテゴリーを抽出したものであった. 今後は海外での充実した理論や概念構築に追随するべく,我が国独自の社会的,文化的背景を反映した Successful Agingの概念の定義化や条件,要件も念頭に,対象者自身が語る経験や思いや思考について幅を拡大して,研究を進め蓄積させてゆくことが望ましいと考えられる.また同時に,対象者自身の主観的分析から安寧やQOL等,Successful Agingの類似概念との関連を既存尺度の選定も含めて尺度開発等を通して,明らかにしていく必要がある. | ||||||||||

| "This study reviewed 15 previously published overseas journal articles relating to ""Successful Aging"". The articles were classified into three categories; 1)articles dealing with a conceptualization of successful aging while identifying and describing factors predicative/ indicative of success in the process of aging; 2)quantitative studies conducted to investigate demographic characteristics, thoughts, experiences, and functions of the aging population; and 3)articles identifying key themes and categories emerging from interviews with older people in the process of aging and searching for the meaning of Successful Aging. The reviews suggest that it may be necessary to collect sufficient data concerning experiences, thoughts, and functions of older people with the intention of developing a socioculturally appropriate conceptualization of Successful Aging on the basis of the theories and concepts demonstrated in the overseas research works, as it pertains to the culture and experience of those being questioned. Also, it may be the case that the relationship between Successful Aging and its related concepts, such as well-being and QOL, need to be clarified through an analysis of subjective experiences of older people and a development of new, culturally appropriate, scales." | ||||||||||
