| 超音波診断を含む妊婦健診を受けた妊婦と,同法を含まない妊婦健診を受けた妊婦を対象に半構成的インタビュー調査を行い,得られたデータを質的,帰納的に分析した.調査対象施設は双方共に助産所であり,助産師により妊婦健診が提供されている施設を用いた.調査はインタビューガイドを作成し,(1)超音波診断を受けた感想(2)画像をみてどう感じたか(3)画像はどういう風に見えたか(4)妊娠についてどう感じているか,4つの項目を中心にインタビューを進めた.その結果,超音波診断による妊婦健診を受けた妊婦は,全員が画像をみることで胎児の発育が分かり嬉しい,安心する等の肯定的な感情を表出していた.しかし,その一方で画像上に写し出された断層像と胎児画像を識別することは困難な状態であった.したがって妊婦が画像を見ることが,直接的に妊婦の心理的効果を促すのではなく,画像に対する診察者の説明や超音波診断に対する期待等が複合的要因として影響を与えているといえる.また妊婦は,妊婦の身体感覚により妊娠を実感していたことから,胎児情報の視覚化が妊婦の身体感覚を鈍化させていたとはいえなかった. | ||||||||

| Seeking a qualitative and inductive analysis of women's accounts of their experiences with antenatal examinations, I conducted semi-structured interviews with women who did and did not receive examinations that provided ultrasound. (All subjects' examinations were conducted by midwives at midwife-operated maternity homes.) The following subjects were covered: (1) Impressions of ultrasound scan examinations, (2) feelings on seeing sonograms; (3) what could actually be discerned from the sonograms; (4) feelings about being pregnant. All subjects in the ultrasound group showed positive feelings of happiness and reassurance at having seen their sonograms, as they confirmed normal fetal development. On the other hand, their responses were much less well defined when they were asked what they were able to make of the images themselves. This psychological effect, however, was not solely the result of seeing the image; rather, the examiners' explanations had a major effect. Seeing the fetal images did not diminish the subjects' body awareness. | ||||||||
