| 本研究の目的は, わが国の医療サービス生産に関わる費用構造を実証的に把握することである.そのために, 投入要素価格と病院サービス生産量から構成されるTranslog型の病院費用関数を準備し, 1984～1999年のデータを用いて, 2段階最小自乗法により, パラメータを推定した.また, 推定した病院費用関数から, 短期および長期の病院費用曲線を導出すると同時に, 米国の先行業績と比較することを試みた.分析の結果, わが国の医療サービスの費用構造を総合的に解明するにはTranslog型病院費用関数がきわめて有効であること, また, 入院部門や外来部門など病院における多部門生産あるいはMedicareやMedicaidなど制度別分析にもTranslog型病院費用関数が適用できることが分かった. | ||||||||

| The purpose of this paper is to analyze empirically the hospital cost structure in Japan. The tran-scendental logarithmic cost function, which contains the input factor prices and the output of hospital services, was assumed. The two stage least square method was used to estimate the parameters of data from 1984 to 1999. This study was an atempt to compare the estimated parameters of the hospital cost function between Japan and the United States. The conclusions drawn are that the estimated hospital cost function is an effective measure of the hospital cost structure. Also the transcendental logarithmic cost function can be applied to analyze the multiproduct cost function. | ||||||||
