| 障害者と介助者の関係は, お互いに主体性を持った対等な信頼関係の上に成り立つことが理想と考えられる.そこで, 障害者と介助者の関係をまちの中での介助中に起こった事故についてアンケート調査を中心に検討した.介助事故が起これば障害者は「お世話になった善意の介助者に補償を求めたりはできない.」介助者は「自分の意志で善意の介助をしている障害者に補償を求めたはりしない.」という暗黙の了解が社会の常識としてあり, 損害賠償を請求するなどの法的措置などを求めないで問題の解決がなされている。この暗黙の了解とは, 介助における当事者間の関係から起こっている.まちの中での介助を障害者は「出来るならば介助を受けたくないが仕方がない.」介助者は「頼まれれば介助する.」という, 障害者も介助者も消極的な姿勢をみることができる.そこには, まちの中での介助から, いわゆる社会における障害者と健常者との関係が推測できる.介助の関係は, 基本的には人間と人間の関係であり, その人間を支えているのは私たちが創っている社会である.そこには, 障害者問題に対する姿勢が社会全般に問われている. | ||||||||

| I made an inquiry into the relations between physically challenged people and their assistants from a questionnaire about accidents which occur during good-intentioned care. I realized that for the physically challenged people accidents which occur during good-intentioned care are a part of their daily life in the village of disabled people. When such accidents occur the physically challenged people usually do not search for legal settlement of the problem. At the root of this are the relations between the assistants and the physically challenged people, the latter being passive in the caregiving process. From the point of view of the ideal relationship, one of "mutual support" , the relations between the caregivers and the physically challenged people are largely based on mutual trust. It is very important to further on consider different problems concerning caregiving. | ||||||||
