| 1985年と1990年の性・都道府県別肺がんの標準化死亡比(SMR)と各SMRの調査年より6年前, 11年前の食物要因(一人当たり, 一月当たりの消費量)との関係について調べた.1985,1990年の性・都道府県別肺がんSMRと項目(食物要因)との関係で男女ともに有意の正相関が認められたのは副食費, パン類, 肉類, 乳卵類, 牛肉, 鶏卵, コーヒーの7項目, 女性のSMRと有意の正相関が認められたのは食料費, 主食費, 野菜類, 乾物・海草類, 飲料費, 鶏肉, ハム, ソーセージ, 干しいたけ, 他の乾物・海草の10項目であった.男女ともに有意の負相関が認められたのは学校給費1項目で, 男性のSMRと有意の負相関が認められたのは嗜好食品, 菓子類, 果物類, 緑茶の4項目, 女性のSMRと有意の負相関が認められたのは食塩と清酒の2項目であった.この成績から, 最近のわが国の肺がん死亡率の都道府県別格差と関連のある食物要因は肉類, 乳卵類, 牛肉, 鶏卵, コーヒーなどであることを認めた. | ||||||||||

| In order to examine the cause of regional differences in lung cancer mortality among Japanese, analyses by prefecture of the relationships between both sexes SMR (Standardized Mortality Ratio) of lung cancer in two periods, 1983-1987 and 1988-1992 and dietary factors (per capita monthly food consumption of forty-one foods and beverages plus tobacco as an additional factor) on the six and eleven years before each period of the SMR for forty-seven prefectures were computed using Pearson's equation. The correlation coefficients were positively significant between both sexes SMR in the two periods and seven items (sum of fishes, meats and vegetables etc., bread, meat, sum of milk and eggs, beef, chicken eggs and coffee), and between females SMR in the two periods and ten items (total foods, cereals, vegetables, dried vegetables and sea weeds, non alcoholic beverages, chicken, ham, sausages, dried mushrooms, and other dried vegetables and sea weeds).The correlation cofficients were inversely significant between the both sexes SMR in the two periods and one item (school lunch fee), and between males' SMR in the two periods and four items (cakes, fruits and beverages, etc., cakes and candies, fruits and green tea), and between females' SMR in the two periods and two items (salt and sake). Based on the above findings, the following dietary factors (meat, beef, milk and eggs, chicken eggs and coffee) seem to be associated with the cause of prefectural differences in the lung cancer mortality among Japanese today. | ||||||||||
