| 生命倫理や環境倫理では, 生命や環境というような全体を把握する概念に出会う.全体概念の性格を議論する.できごととしての生命や環境は, 人間を含んだもののつくりだす内的関係のまとまりである.そのなかで, 人間は価値判断をすることによって倫理的経験をもつ.倫理的問題の理解において, 全体的視野が機械論的アトム論を越えて現代的意味を持つであろう. | ||||||||

| In the ideas on bioethics and environmental ethics we encounter the holistic view as represented by such terms as the concept of life or that of the environment where we live. The adequacy of the holistic view in ethical evaluation will be discussed. The phenomenon of our life and living environment is the complex of internal relations of things which we encounter therein (including human beings) where we find values. In evaluating things which we encounter, the holistic view of things has to replace the mechanistic one which has been traditionally founded on the "atomism". | ||||||||
