| 老年期を多様な喪失体験を伴なう危機的時期であり, 肉体と精神の機能が衰退してゆく人生の最終位相であると共に, 自我発達の完結期, 円熟期であるとみる立場から, 現代の老人心理学の代表的研究例を検討し, 大学における臨床心理学科の専門教育におけるそれらの意義について論じた.老人の心理に関するいくつかの分類と解釈について述べ, 老人の社会的適応を左右する諸要因と適応の様式を論じた.老人の自己概念に関する精神医学と心理学からの研究の重要性が強調され, 老人心理学の新体系を形成することが期待された. | ||||||||

| On the grounds that old age is considered the critical phase of life with the various experiences of loss and the last phase with a decline in the function of ego development and personality maturation, I reviewed and evaluated some representative studies of modern gerontological psychology. And I dealt with these significances for technical training in the Department of Clinical psychology of this university. I also stated some classifications and interpretation concerning gerontological psychology. As a result, the importance of studies of both psychiatry and psychology on selfconcept in old age was emphasized, and a new system of gerontological psychology was expected to be constructed. | ||||||||
