| 生物学的モニタリングの重要性と現状について總括した.生物学的モニタリングとは, 「作業者の有害物質摂取量および健康影響を検討するために, 作業者の生体試料(血液, 尿, 呼気等)中の有害物質や有害物質の代謝産物を測定・評価(適切な基準値と比較)すること」である.生物学的モニタリングは, 職業病予防のための有効な手法といえる.わが国では, 1989年から鉛作業者および8種類の有機溶剤作業者に対して, 大規模な生物学的モニタリングが義務づけられていた.その対象数は約60万人/年と推定されている.さらに, 混合有機溶剤暴露の場合の暴露および健康影響の生物学的モニタリングによる評価方法について提言する. | ||||||||||

| The review deals with the significance and the present state of biological monitoring. Biological monitoring is "the measurement and assessment of workplace agents or their metabolites either in biological specimens (blood, urine, and exhaled air, etc.) or any combination of these to evaluate exposure and health risk compared to an appropriate reference". Biological monitoring is a preventive tool for occupational disease. In Japan (1989) , large scale biological monitoring is mandatory for all workers exposed to lead and to eight kinds of organic solvents-amounting to about six hundred thousand persons per year. Methods for evaluation of body exposure and health risk of workers exposed to mixed organic solvents by biological monitoring are also proposed. | ||||||||||
