| 社会福祉サービス, その受給者, 社会福祉機関・施設におけるスティグマは, 人間的地平においてきわめて重要なものである.しかし, その存在自体は認められながらも, 我が国の社会福祉研究のなかでは遅れた研究分野である.スティグマ研究は, もともと米国の社会学者であるゴッフマンによって1960年代に取り上げられ, 世界的に大きく広まった経緯がある.英国では, それ以前からの研究の蓄積があったけれども, ゴッフマンの著作によって強い刺激を受け, ティトマス, ピンカーなどの主要な研究者がこの問題に取り組み始めた.ピンカーの弟子であるスピッカーは, 社会福祉学の立場から, スティグマ問題を直接的に取り上げている. | ||||||||

| Stigma in social services, recipients of services, and social welfare agencies or institutions is very important issue from the point of human services. In spite of cognition on stigma, the study of it is delayed in the Japanese social welfare world. The study of stigma was done by Goffman, who was an American sociologist in 1960's, and his study has been famous as the world wide research. Britain, which has its own accumulation on this matter, was strongly influenced by Goffman, and major scholar like Titmuss, Pinker had started their inverstigations on stigma. Spicker who is a son of Pinker in academic world is discussing directly on the problem of stigma. | ||||||||
