| 本研究の目的は，日本で出版されたフリースクールに関する文献の時系列的な展開を概観し，その質的な変化について考察することであった．CiNii Research を用いて，フリースクールに関する文献を検索した．検索においては，フリーワードとして「フリースクール」，資料の種類として「紀要」と「雑誌記事」をそれぞれ設定し，1980年から2023年にかけて発刊された文献を分析対象とした．分析の結果，以下のことが明らかになった．まず，1980年から2023年の間に合致したデータは計59件で，最初に検出されたのは1999年の文献であった．年によってばらつきはあるものの少しずつ増加し，2019年には最多の8件を記録した後，緩やかに減少した．内容も踏まえた結果から，1990年から2000年代初頭における日本のフリースクールは，不登校支援という一条校の問題を引き受けながらも，その有り様について広く自由に模索していた時期であると考えられた．2010年以降にはフリースクールを取り巻く課題がより複層的に捉えられるようになり，2016年に教育機会確保法が公布されると，急激に文献数が増えて関心の高まりを示しているようであった．これらから，フリースクールに関する研究は，政治的・社会的情勢の影響を大きく受けながら変遷を遂げてきたことが示唆された． | ||||||||||

| The purpose of this study was to review the chronological development of the literature on free schools published in Japan and to discuss its qualitative changes. CiNii Research was used to search the literature on free schools. In the search settings,“free school”was set as a free word, and“bulletin”and“journal article”were set as the type of material, respectively. The analysis period was 1980 to 2023. The results of the analysis were as follows. There were a total of 59 matches between 1980 and 2023, with the first detection in the 1999 literature. The number of matches increased gradually, although it varied from year to year, with the largest number of 8 matches recorded in 2019, followed by a gradual decrease. Based on the results of the study, it is considered that free schools in Japan from 1990 to the early 2000’s were freely and widely exploring how to support non-attendance, while taking on the problem of Article one schools defined by the school education law. After 2010, the issues surrounding free schools became more multilayered, and after the promulgation of the Law for Securing Educational Opportunities in 2016, the number of references increased rapidly, indicating a growing interest in the subject. These findings suggest that the research on free schools has undergone a transition, largely influenced by the political and social climate. | ||||||||||
