1997年に国家資格化された精神保健福祉士（Mental Health Social Worker：MHSW）は，法制度の改正などの変化に対応し専門職として質の高いソーシャルワークを行うために，日々の自己研鑽が必要不可欠である．近年，精神保健福祉を取り巻く状況が変化し，支援対象者や活躍する分野の拡大がみられる．従来より多様な支援を行うMHSW だけではなく，MHSW を含むソーシャルワーカーの資質向上やMHSW としての成長に関して，今までどのような研究がなされているのか明らかにするため，先行研究をレビューした．その結果，（1）ソーシャルワーカーの成長段階の実践能力の研究，（2）ソーシャルワーカーの成長に影響を与える要因に関する研究の大きく2つに分けられた．また，（2）ソーシャルワーカーの成長に影響を与える要因に関する研究は，①危機を乗り越えて成長する研究，②職場外の活動が成長に与える影響の研究，③継続教育が成長に与える影響の研究，④自己教育力が成長に与える影響の研究，の4つに整理することができた．先行研究より，MHSW を含むソーシャルワーカーの成長に関する研究は，成長の段階，プロセス，成長の契機，継続教育，自己教育力などの研究が行われていることが分かった． また，職場内での出来事や人間関係がMHSW を含むソーシャルワーカーの成長に影響を与えているという研究が主である．しかし，MHSW は生活者の権利を守ることを使命としていることから，仕事に直接関わる経験のみではなく，一見仕事とは直結しないようなプライベートな経験に焦点を当てた研究を今後行う必要がある． |

Mental Health Social Workers (MHSW), who were nationally certified in 1997, are required to improve themselves on a daily basis in order to respond to changes in the legal system, such as revisions to the legal system, and to provide high quality social work as professionals. The situation fields in which they are active are expanding in recent years. We reviewed previous research to clarify what kind of research has been done and trends in research on improving the quality and growth of MHSW who provide a wide range of support. As a result, the research was broadly divided into two parts: (1) research on the practical abilities of social workers during their developmental stages, and (2) research on factors that influence the growth of social workers. (2) Research on factors that affect the growth of social workers includes ① research on growing through overcoming crises, ② research on the impact of activities outside the workplace on growth, and ③ research on the impact of continuing education on growth. ④ Research on the influence of self-education ability on growth. From previous studies, we found that research on social workers’ growth, including MHSWs, has been conducted on stages of development, processes, opportunities for growth, continuing education, and self-education skills. Most of the research focuses on how events and interpersonal relationships in the workplace influence the growth of social workers, including MHSW. However, since the MHSW’s mission is to protect consumers’ rights, future research should focus not only on experiences directly related to work but also on private experiences that are seemingly not directly related to work. |
