|
障害受容概念は，障害のある当事者の心理状態を探究するための重要な概念である．海外で誕生した本概念は，その後，日本にも取り入れられ，現在では，様々な障害を対象に普及している．一方で，障害受容概念の誕生から時が経つにつれ，徐々に，本概念に関する理解を深める機会が減っていることがうかがえる．そこで，本稿では，障害受容概念の変遷と課題を整理，再考した．また，それらの結果に基づき，今後，本概念に求められる研究や観点について検討した．以上より，本稿からは2つのことが確認できた．第1に，障害の種類によって，当事者の障害に対する思いや向き合い方は異なることが確認された．そのため，障害受容概念を様々な障害に適用させるにあたっては，各障害における特徴を個別に検証する必要があることを示した．第2に，障害受容概念は，当事者のあるべき姿や目標を示すものとして普及してきた可能性があることを確認した．それを踏まえ，今後，障害受容概念は当事者の理想の姿を示すものではなく，障害に対して当事者がどのような思いでいるかを探求していくための概念として使用されるべきであることを示した． |

The concept of acceptance of disability was born overseas, was later introduced to Japan and is now widely used for a variety of disabilities. On the other hand, as time passes since the birth of the concept there are fewer and fewer opportunities to understand the concept. Therefore, we reviewed the changes and issues of the concept of disability acceptance. Furthermore, we considered the future prospects for the use of the concept. Two things were confirmed in this paper. First, the way people think about and deal with disability differs depending on the type of disability. Therefore, we suggested that the concept of disability acceptance needs to be carefully considered in applying it to various disabilities. Second, we suggested that the concept may have spread as an indication of the ideal state or goal of persons with disabilities. Therefore, we suggested that the concept should not indicate an ideal image of persons with disabilities, but rather a concept for exploring how they think about and deal with disability. |
