In this project, individualized educational support plans created at schools are positioned as having an important role in understanding and providing consistent support for children with developmental disabilities and other disabilities. However, the use of these plans has not been sufficient. The purpose of this study is to clarify that homeroom teachers can understand the behavioral characteristics of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) children in their class from their “learning styles” using an individualized educational support plan that introduces an analysis process based on the iceberg model of the TEACCH® Autism Program (TEACCH®), which practices based on the learning styles that are unique to the cognitive functions of children with ASD. In order to deepen the knowledge of autism, school consultations (hereinafter referred to as “consultations”) conducted by TEACCH® were introduced.
