In response, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has promoted the“Bridge Program for Preschool and Elementary School Education” since 2022. The Life Studies program, which has been studying the relationship between the immediate environment and daily life, has played a major role in connecting elementary schools with preschools. The same can be said for the bridging period, but it is necessary to develop a curriculum with an ecological and generalist perspective that focuses on the interaction between the child and the environment, while keeping in mind the characteristics of early childhood education. In this paper, we focus on the bridge period between preschool and elementary school, and we have analysis materials for teaching life science in the first grade of elementary school from the ecological and generalist perspectives.
