However, some manufacturers have begun to sell low-salt and salt-free products. For patients with chronic kidney disease who need to secure low salt and adequate energy, potato chips are a food that meets these requirements and is low in protein. The problem is that they are high in potassium. It may be possible to reduce this potassium by modifying the cooking process.
