This paper focuses on elementary and junior high schools, which are in the compulsory education stage. By focusing on the situation where school education has become difficult in Japan for an extended period of time, such as with “New Coronavirus” (COVID-19), we will discuss how school education should be guaranteed in the event of a sudden crisis in the future. The main purpose of this paper is clarifying which of the four kinds of “Extracurricular Activities” were completed as usual and what activities could not be accomplished due to “New Coronavirus” (COVID-19). In the first research question, class activities and children’s association/student association activities seemed to be able to be carried out in a form as close to normal as possible. On the other hand, the activities that could not be done were club activities (in the case of elementary school) and school events. In the second research question, of the four kinds of “Extracurricular Activities” we will discuss which events had a problem due to implementation.
