The subjects of this study were six first graders with ASD and their mothers. We used the questionnaire survey and the semi- structured interview before and after the intervention, then compared and analyzed them qualitatively. As a result, the following four points were considered as the changes in mothers (1) After receiving an explanation from experts, the mothers were able to know the characteristics of ASD, which led to the ingenuity of how to relate to them. (2) Receiving some support from experts made each of mothers realize the necessity of the support. (3) By talking with other parents, they realized that they had misunderstood the behavior of their children. (4) The cooperation between experts and mothers helped mothers to understand their children better and to review family relationships.
