Through these verifications, this paper indicates future’s possibility in the selection of textbooks of“special subject morality”. Investigation methods are comparison and trend analysis of a textbook selection company in each prefecture. And then, we present two research questions. The first question is whether or not to change the textbook publication company which was adopted last time in the selection of textbooks in“special subject morality”. The second question is whether the local government which is changing the textbook adoption clarified in RQ1 has any problem or purpose on the guidance of the morality. As a hypothesis, we thought that each local government changed the textbook because there was some expectation to morality. As a result, in RQ1, some local governments changed the textbook publication company.
