The survey conducted in the summer of 2017 included ethical dilemmas and ethical perspectives of 540 medical social workers. Results of the statistical analysis from 187 medical social workers showed 90% had experienced conflicts between their personal beliefs and aspects required for their job. In addition, they faced dilemmas not only with patients and their family but also with other professions. These dilemmas were supposed to relate to the role of medical social workers as coordinators of care. The differences of age, hospital types and the experience of ethical training affected to the perspective toward work ethics and evaluation criteria for actions.
