We conducted a semi-structured interview with 5 men with stillborn children, and analyzed the data obtained both qualitatively and descriptively from the viewpoint of their state of mind over time. As a result, we extracted the following 5 categories: 1) sharing of grief, 2) other people’s words and actions to aid the person in organizing his thoughts, 3) making efforts to pray for the stillborn child, 4) mutual understanding between the stillborn infant’s parents， and 5) having another baby．\n　The 1st and 2nd categories helped study subjects to deal with their mental devastation due to their child’s stillbirth.
