It is well known that WHO is discussing whether spirituality is to be added or not in the understanding of health. The study of spirituality is becoming popular and the word, spirituality, is defined in various ways. With actual care giving in various places in mind, I seek the origin of the word spirituality from its background in Christianity by analyzing the context and the meaning of the word in the Old Testament and asking what they were saying.
