Hyperthermia-MH)は高熱の発現と共に著明な骨格筋の強直性痙攣を伴うことが知られ, 本症の発症報告初期から骨格筋自体にその成因を持つ筋原性筋疾患である可能性が推定されていた.著者は過去数例の麻酔管理下でのMH発症者に遭遇し, 本症について発症から治療, 予後に至る種々な検討結果を報告してきた.特に骨格筋の形態的, 機能的研究から本症の成因に付いて骨格筋内部膜のCa遊離機能自体に成因を持つ可能性を示唆してきた.今回, 出産後, 原因不明の突発的発熱と全身性の痙攣の出現によってMH様の症状をたどり可及的な身体症状の悪化を招来し, 救命し得なかった症例に付いて, 本症例がMHと診断され得るかどうかを調べた.その結果, 本症例の発症誘因は従来知られているMH発症誘因と著しく異なっているが, 原因不明の急速な体温上昇とそれに伴う可及的な身体症状の悪化の招来は極めてMH発症者と近似していた.また, 骨格筋の形態的, 機能的研究から著しい筋節長の短縮と膜様構造の破壊が認められ, さらに筋小胞体膜機能の低下が認められた.これらの結果は従来から知られている本症発症者骨格筋の検索から得られた結果と極似し,
