VDT作業は,ノートパソコンを用いMicrosoft Wordで文章入力を行った.瞬目回数と涙液量の測定をVDT作業開始前,開始30分後,60分後,90分後に検査して,被検者の意識調査をあわせて行った. その結果,瞬目回数は屈折矯正方法に関係なく,VDT作業前に比べてVDT作業後では平均50%(39~60%)減少した(p<0.05).涙液量はHCLでVDT作業により減少を示した(p<0.01).意識調査では,疲労感や乾燥感がSCLとHCLで多く,眼鏡装用で少ない結果であった. したがって,VDT作業を行う際には疲労軽減のために適度な休憩と涙液量の減少予防に心掛ける必要がある.以上の結果からテクノストレス眼症を予防する屈折矯正には,涙液量の変動や乾燥感の少ない眼鏡装用が適している."}]},"item_1_textarea_12":{"attribute_name":"抄録(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_textarea_language":"en","subitem_textarea_value":"Work with computer visual display terminals (VDT) has been increasing every year. It has been reported that VDT work induces subjective symptoms including eyestrain and dry eye. We compared the blink frequency and tear volume in VDT work between eyes with soft contact lenses (SCL), hard contact lenses (HCL) and glasses, and the naked eye to investigate the prevention of technostress ophthalmopathy in VDT work. The subjects were 36 healthy volunteers (72 eyes), average age 20.7 years (range: 19 to 23 years) and without abnormal findings except refractive error. They comprised 10 persons with SCL (20 eyes), 10 with HCL (20 eyes), 8 with glasses (16 eyes) and 8 with the naked eye (16 eyes). The subjects input sentences using Microsoft Word on a laptop computer as VDT work. The blink frequency and tear volume were determined before VDT work, 30, 60 and 90 minutes after the beginning of the VDT work and the subjective symptoms were analyzed. The blink frequency after VDT work decreased by 50% (39% to 60%) compared with that before VDT work (p<0.05), regardless of the correcting device. A significant difference in the tear volume of eyes with HCL was found between before and 90 minutes after VDT work (p<0.01). Many subjects with SCL and HCL complained of eyestrain and dry eye but few of the subjects with glasses did. In conclusion, in VDT work, appropriate rest and some prevention of tear reduction are required.
