There were significant results as they related to the recommendation and the general entrance exams on the one hand, and the special and general entrance exams given in basic fields of study on the other (p<0.05). The entrance exam offered to students by recommendation showed higher scores for special lectures and special practice in professional education subjects (p<0.05). According to the entrance exam methods classified, the results after entrance into the university showed slightly higher scores for the students who took the recommendation exam. The special and the general entrance exam scores were lower in that order. For that reason classes in basic fields of study need to be geared more toward welfare, like the recommendation exam which is for students who specifically want to study Orthoptics. And entrance exams also include in their selection processes investigation reports from high school and interview evaluations from the entrance exam.
