Questionnaires were distributed to 126 students of the first to fifth graduating classes of the Orthoptist Course, the Department of Sensory Sciences, Faculty of Medical Professions seventy seven (62.6%) responded. The results revealed that 86.6% of the graduates worked in a clinical field, mainly concerned with orthoptics and ophthalmologic examinations. Diseases managed by ORT included refractive errors, strabismus, amblyopia, cataract, and glaucoma, in that order of frequency. Educational content given soon before graduation was evaluated as \"useful for works\" by 43% and \"a pride\" by 50%, whereas 68% felt a lack of skill. Because of specialization in medical science, every ORT is required to have a wide range of academic knowledge, skill techniques, and human compassion.
