The proposed method used a 500mm×75μm i.d. fused silica column coated by polyacrylamide, lOmM borate buffer containing 50mM SDS (pH 11.0). The determination was carried out at 15 kV separation voltage and at 25℃ . UV detection was done by photodiode array detector at 245 and 265nm. Both analytes could be adequately determined within 7 min and linear carriblation curves were obtained in the range from 0 to 1 mg/ml in the standard solutions. The limits of detection were below 1 ng which are smaller than those from HPLC. This method proved to be rapid, simple, practical for the qualitative and quantitative determination of ascorbic acid in the standard solutions.
