Both signal and numerical stimulation was used on seven normal subjects. 1. EEG topography Signal stimulation resulted in a positive far-field EEG potential on the central scalp after 306～503msec. (324.0±28.6msec.) for all subjects. Numerical stimulation resulted in two positive far-field potentials on the central scalp after 168～236msec. (206.4±20. 7msec.) and 372～503msec. (439.9±48.0) for all subjects. The latter potential tends to differ from person to person. 2 . Dipole tracing The generator of ERP exists deep within the brain at signal and numerical stimulation. From our data, we can objectively estimate a differentiation of visual information processing and a subject's visual recognition ability.
